CAPPADOCIA LOCAL FIXER:PRODUCTION, RESEARCH, EVENTS

Porsche Cayenne Electric Media Drive Cappadocia August 2026
The new electric Porsche Cayenne 4x4 models made their debut at an international launch event hosted by Porsche Germany in Cappadocia in August 2026. For this major event, which brought together over 200 automotive journalists and social media influencers from Europe, Asia, and Türkiye, I managed the necessary field research and official permitting processes to ensure seamless operations.
I personally designed and mapped the off-road test route—the centerpiece of the launch—enabling participants to fully experience the new-generation vehicles amidst Cappadocia’s challenging yet captivating landscape. Additionally, I served as the field coordinator for the production teams creating visual media throughout the event; by identifying locations that best suited their creative vision and immediate needs, I helped ensure that the vehicles and the unique character of Cappadocia were captured flawlessly on camera.

Collaborative Fieldwork: Documenting Frescoes of Eastern Roman Churches
Since 2009, I have proudly served as a local field coordinator and guide for esteemed art historians and scholars from Waseda and Kanazawa Universities. This ongoing, long-term fieldwork focuses on the rich heritage of Eastern Roman art and architecture in Cappadocia. Together, we are dedicated to locating, documenting, and archiving the region's historic rock-cut churches and their remarkable wall paintings—a profound academic endeavor that builds upon studies dating back to the 19th century. To date, I have had the privilege of assisting in the official documentation of 397 churches.
My role is to ensure the seamless execution of these complex academic expeditions. I provide comprehensive on-the-ground support, including transportation, location scouting, and equipment logistics. Beyond the physical logistics, I act as a cultural liaison. I facilitate communication with local communities, navigate the intricacies of official permits and governmental visits, and offer scholars vital insights into the local language, culture, and daily life. My goal is to bridge the gap between academic research and the local Cappadocian reality, allowing scholars to focus entirely on their vital historical work.
